Wanjiku  Maryanne  Waruguru  has  a  Bachelor  of  Science  in  Counseling  Psychology  from  Moi  University.  She  has  accreditations  in  the  field  ranging  from  Cognitive  Behavioral  Therapy  (CBT)  certification  for  Addiction  by  Support  for  Addictions  Prevention  and  Treatment  in  Africa  (SAPTA)  College  to  HIV  Testing  and  Counseling  Services  by  National  Aids  and  STIs  Control  Programme  (NASCOP).  She  is  an  Associate  Counselor  accredited  by  the  Kenya  Psychological  and  Counseling  Association  (KPCA).  

She  has  worked  in  a  rehabilitation  center,  healthcare  settings,  NGO,  and  prison  working  with  people  with  Addiction,  Sexual  and  Gender  Based  Violence,  palliative  care,  HIV/AIDS,  mental  illness,  and  psychosocial  services  for  children  in  conflict  with  the  law.
